Advanced Hybrid Collaborating with Equipmake (UK)

Advanced Hybrid is working with Equipmake (UK), a leading engineering firm capable of carrying out advanced computer modelling, design, and simulation of the company’s innovative designs. Equipmake was selected after a world wide search to find a company able to carry out the complex modelling demanded of Advanced Hybrid’s designs. Based in Norwich, Equipmake is carrying out modelling and design testing of the VariPole (HGM) electric motor/generator technology.

The name change reflects the broad range of technologies in which the company has intellectual property, and the fact that so much of the current sCVT development is ‘hybrid’ development, touching on multiple technologies and industry sectors.

Inventor and designer and company co-founder Michael Urch noted that “having a working prototype is an important step for the company, as it signals the enterprise is capable of moving beyond being a pure research and development shop and is capable of turning theory in reality.”
